House in an olive grove

A house designed by local materials while blending with the landscape inside a huge olivegrove.

Kiosk in Capodistrias Museum

In the "Capodistrias Museum" unique garden the existence of the autonomous Kiosk-cafe-Gazebo covers the operational needs of the Museum within a limited space. Main idea of the kiosk’s design was its integration into the garden as well as its discourse with the existing building of the Museum. The concept was the creation of a mobile, light structure that could change form and shape in accordance to the needs of the Museum. The kiosk almost “disappears” inside the trees giving a sense of harmony and elegance in correspondence with the area in which it is located.

"C" Residence

“C” residence is located in the famous suburb on the south of city of Corfu, “Kanoni”.

The composition is based on the dialogue between indoor and outdoor living areas as well as on the existence of perimeter courtyards.

The indoor spaces cover 100 sq.m. and compose a rather small, eco-friendly house, built with high quality materials. The design concept is based in a “cube” shape, functional house, while emphasis is given in nature and light. The exterior is covered by brick while in the inner part of the facade there are wooden and reinforced concrete surfaces. Main idea was to create “the minimum possible building footprint” in the narrow plot. Therefore, the house is going to be built in 2levels, almost in the center of the plot with yards and plants around it.

Main element of the composition are the wooden sliding panels that exist both in the facades and in the interior, creating flexible spaces, that can be modified according to the needs of the inhabitants.

The relationship of the cube with its urban environment stands away from imitative practices and choices are based on contemporary goals and aspects of nowadays cities.

The View

The "View" residence is located on a unique steep site with amazing views to the sea and to the forest. The land is surrounded by idyllic vineyards, olive groves and citrus groves. The architectural forms follow the contours and the "shapes" of the land achieving a "dialogue" with the imposing landscape.

The interior spaces are characterized by functionality given throughout contemporary solutions. Main goal of the design is to compose high quality spaces of elegance.
